Gourgou Lab

Welcome!

We seek to understand the neuronal basis of behavior. We are interested in how i) sensory input, ii) an organism’s physiological state (aging, food intake), and iii) genetic background affect the functional dynamics of neurons and neuronal circuits, and ultimately shape an animal’s behavior. We focus on learning, memory, and locomotion. Our lab is part of the Department of Biological Sciences, Wayne State University, at Detroit, Michigan.
